1961 Daimler SP250 B-spec - Price reduced to €30,000 - or sterling equivalent

The reason this car is priced in Euros is that it's LHD. I converted it from an original UK specification car in 2020 for its current owner who lives in Italy so it may well suit a European buyer or perhaps someone from North America in which case we can look at a price in dollars. The engine was recently overhauled in Italy and I have just fitted new composite head gaskets on a precautionary basis.

The car is well equipped and sensibly upgraded having been fitted with rack and pinion steering when I converted it to LHD. It has a stainless steel exhaust and an electric radiator fan and I have recently replaced the radiator mounts with new stainless steel ones.

Other upgrades include servo assisted brakes, an RGR telescopic rear damper conversion and a front anti-roll bar. It has also been fitted with a new speedo in KPH however if required, the original MPH one will be supplied with the car. The new owner will also receive a full set of manuals with handbook and accessories manual plus a big history file with bills and old MOT certificates.

On the road the car performs extremely well and is a pleasure to drive. It you are looking for an extremely good value LHD SP250, you should give this car serious consideration. Call me for further information or to arrange viewing/test drive.

1969 Daimler 250 V8 Saloon automatic - £15,995

This saloon looks outstanding with its original sable brown exterior, beige leather trim and chrome wire wheels.

This car is all about luxury and smooth, refined cruising. The leather seats with armrests are supremely comfortable. The factory installed power steering makes low speed manoeuvring a pleasure whilst the Borg Warner automatic transmission ideally complements Turner's smooth V8 engine. Main road cruising is relaxed; the 3.54:1 final drive means that at the legal speed limit, the engine is turning over at around 3,000 rpm.

If the mood takes you and you want to press on, the car's front 4 pot Coopercraft callipers and uprated rear pistons mean the braking performance is now fully in keeping with modern road conditions. Daimler saloons, by virtue of their significantly lighter engines and the fact that they are set further back than their stable mate's straight six, always handle better than Mark II Jaguars thanks to their near 50/50 weight distribution. This car further benefits from gas dampers and poly bushes making it not only luxurious, but fun to drive.

This is a low mileage car supported by a comprehensive history file that includes invoices and MOT records from new. it also has the original blue folder with handbook and service records plus the full, original toolkit. It has had just 5 owners from new and changed hands for £30,000 in 2022. This is a lovely car that deserves to go to a good home.
